We also understand some folks don’t want a snap on their lead rope, for these folks we braid a loop which works perfect on a rope halter.  Most lead ropes come in a length of 10 feet and that is before the rope ends are rolled over, this is to just short. Here at Trailhead Supply start with quality ½” New England Multiline 2 rope, cut it at 13 feet and then back braid an eye on one end and back splice the other for a finished length of 12 feet.  12 feet is the perfect length for tying you pack string together or securing an animal on the trail.
