About Us

Trailhead Supply is a horse and mule packing equipment store located in Kalispell, MT. Owned by father-daughter duo Andy Breland and Sydney Paine they opened their doors in 2009 with an online store and going to trade shows. In 2012 they decided to take their dream to the next level and open a storefront in Kalispell while continuing to run their online store and go to trade shows in the spring each year. In late 2018 the store was relocated to it's current home to allow for a higher volume of pack saddle manufacturing.

Andy and Sydney are both avid packers. Their string is a mixture of both mules and horses. Andy commercially packs for Fish Wildlife & Parks and both Andy & Sydney do volunteer packing for organizations like: The Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation, Montana Conservation Corp, and Continental Divide Trail Alliance. 

Both Andy and Sydney fell in love with the back country and packing years ago. They decided together they wanted to open a store that sold the products fellow packers wanted and needed, not what big retailers thought they should buy. The store is built on excellent customer service, Andy & Sydney strive to carry lines of products that really work for their customers. 

On any given day, if you stop by the store chances are there will be 3 or 4 guys sitting around drinking a cup of coffee talking about packing.
